Building DFW’s momentum in the sustainable technologies sector by bringing together innovators, public and private sector executives, and industry leaders. Providing forums to educate and facilitate networking, while raising awareness of the DFW as an industry leader.

Leadership:
The Committee is chaired by Cindy Thyfault, President, Westar Trade Resources. Cindy Thyfault has over 20 years business experience in development, management and funding of agricultural value-added manufacturing projects, bioenergy projects, residential and industrial construction, building products, and consumer goods.
She organized Westar Trade Resources in 1994 to develop new businesses, both domestically and internationally, and provide consulting services to companies from start-up through expansion. She has assisted companies with obtaining over $37 million in grants, including a $33 million DOE award to Alico, Inc, of LaBelle Florida for a cellulosic ethanol plant. Ms. Thyfault received her bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis on international business and marketing from West Texas A & M University, Canyon, Texas and has completed course work toward an MBA degree. She has held numerous leadership roles in community organizations including the North Texas District Export Council, the Texas Governor’s Bio-Energy Strategy Committee, the Application Vetting Committee, and the North Texas Coalition for Innovation and Commercialization. Ms. Thyfault has chaired the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Sustainable Technologies Committee since its inception in 2007.
